Hatha Yoga refers to a set of physical exercises (known as asanas or postures), and slow-pace sequences of these asanas, designed to align the body and open energy channels. Yoga asanas help you relax and have a healing effect on the body and mind.
In Mindful Hatha yoga classes, Siska progressively teaches asana sequences with a strong focus on alignment to develop strength and flexibility, as well as body awareness which will translate into a healthier daily posture. Moreover, she focuses on mindfulness and breathing with awareness which will help release tension in the body and calm our often restless mind.
Siska also blends in Thai massage pressure techniques and partner exercises to help us deepen our stretches and twists. In short, you will feel stronger, more flexible, relaxed and balanced!

Siska Vergauwe has been practicing yoga for over 10 years now, mainly Hatha-based yoga with an emphasis on alignment (Atlascentrum, center for holistic kinematics by Pierre Taboureau, Belgium). She completed her Therapeutic Mindful Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in 2014 through the Mindful Yoga Academy and obtained her certificate in traditional Thai massage early 2015. Since then she has been teaching beginner and open classes of Siska Yoga, giving Yoga Massage sessions and assisting in Acroflow acrobatic yoga classes by her partner Joshua Marin-Hepfl.
